Clinic 66 is not a bulk billing practice.
Payment for consultations is required at the time of your appointment.
We accept EFTPOS, Visa, and Mastercard (no American Express) but no longer accept cash.
After payment, we will send your claim to Medicare, and your rebate will be deposited into your bank account on file with Medicare.
The individual treating doctor will inform you and reception staff of the fee to be charged for your consultation.
Please be advised that for longer appointments, where multiple health issues need to be addressed, an appropriate appointment length (Level C or D) should be made and the fee will be higher.
Please discuss any payment issues with your doctor.

Practice Levy

Why some of the consultations include a service (Practice Levy) fee?

You may have chosen to attend this unique procedural GP practice because of our reputation for high standards in safety, quality, and patient care. Whilst we are not the cheapest providers of reproductive and sexual health services, our patients consistently tell us that they value the quality of care, clinical outcomes, and patient experience we provide.

Medicare subsidies cover a part of the cost of healthcare in Australia, but it does not fully cover the systems, staffing, and governance required to maintain our quality and safety framework. As a result, a gap fee applies.

Most of the total fee goes directly to the doctor caring for you, who works as an independent contractor. In addition, a Practice Levy applies to certain services that carry higher clinical and medico-legal risk. This levy supports the robust quality assurance systems required to deliver these services safely.

Behind the scenes, the Practice Levy helps fund a full-time Clinical Director whose role is to oversee clinician credentialing, clinical governance, and quality of care across the organisation. This level of oversight is uncommon for a practice of our size, but it reflects our commitment to providing care that is safe, ethical, and of the highest standard.
We believe you deserve this level of care — and we are proud to provide it.
