Dr Eisen Liang

Dr Eisen Liang is an Interventional Radiologist who specialises in fibroid disease and is a dedicated healthcare professional that is passionate about applying minimally invasive treatments to improve a woman's quality of life.
Dr Liang graduated with first class honours from UNSW in 1988.
He started his radiology career in Hong Kong in 1990 and has been practicing interventional radiology since 1995.
Dr Liang started working in Sydney Adventist Hospital in 2004, Norwest Private Hospital in 2013 and Mater Hospital in 2016. He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer for University of Sydney Clinical School.
He founded Sydney Interventional Radiology (www.sir.net.au) in 2014 to engage a group of dedicated interventionists to provide world class interventional radiology services.
"My mission is to raise awareness about UFE (uterine artery embolisation) as a minimally invasive procedure to treat uterine fibroids. And to empower women to choose the most suitable treatment for themselves.".
Dr Liang has special interest in women’s health intervention, treating fibroids, adenomyosis and pelvic congestion syndrome.
He published in ANZJOG (2012) the first Australian series using UAE to treat fibroids. His paper on UAE treating adenomyois has been submitted for publication in 2016.
He also performs Oncology Interventions such as Chemoembolisation (TACE) and Radioembolisation (SIRT).
